Coconut Oil and Other Crap

As I struggle with my weight loss issues,  I also struggle with exactly how to lose weight.  My previous success with weight watchers made it a natural decision to return to the program.  Unfortunately there are other factors now to add to the challenge.  You know what I’m talking about.  The big ‘M‘.  Menopause.  *shudder* This opens a whole other can of whoop ass.  My middle is spreading, my ‘stache needs combing, and if you cut me off while driving I’m more than likely to channel The Ventures and tap out an angry version of Tequila on the horn.  And flip you the bird.

The last couple of years I’ve spent doing the one step forward, two steps back dance.  Lose  a pound this week, gain two next week, and so it goes.  Because of this phenomenon I decided that knowledge is power.  Between the internet and the bookstore, there is no shortage of information.  None of which has been particularly helpful.  About as helpful as my experience with ‘Buttheadnursepractitioner’.  There are lots of authors/websites/bloggers who can tell you the obvious.   Every celebrity seems to be jumping on the weight loss bandwagon.  The whole process is overwhelming.  Eat less, move more. I get it.

But where do you begin?  It’s the yellow brick road of health and wellness.  I imagine there may be a few wicked witches and haunted forests along the way.

I think I’ll buy some red shoes.

  1. I know you probably won’t believe me, but no one but you cares what your ass/thighs/arms/insert-any-other-body-part-here look like.

Plus, for what it’s worth, no man ever said, “Wow, look at that girl’s ribs!!”
