I was reading an article the other day about the impact of social media on society. The concern is that we are losing the ability to interact on a personal level. We are a society that shares the minutia of everyday life thinking anyone actually cares. We are becoming self centered attention seekers.
Twitter, Facebook, Texting, Sexting, Pinterest, Tumblr. I’m not innocent, I’ve jumped on the social media bandwagon. I have a Facebook account so I can creep on other peoples accounts, former school friends, ex-boyfriends, my kids. I’ll text the kids that dinner is ready. Obviously, I’m part of the problem.
Tomorrow (Friday) I’m going to chronicle my day in pictures. Instagram. I’m sure it will be fascinating. And only read by my Mom and Dad, and possibly Victoria from British Columbia. (who I’ve never met but is my new best friend)
